Jay Earley, Ph.D, is a psychotherapist, group leader, trainer, big-picture thinker and theorist.
He studies psychotherapy and personal growth in a comprehensive way to arrive at a depth understanding of the human psyche and the process of transformation. Jay is known for the clarity and creativity of his teaching and writing. He is the author of Interactive Group Therapy, Self-Therapy: A Step-by-Step Guide to Inner Wholeness Using IFS, Freedom from Your Inner Critic, and other IFS books.
Jay has been leading Interactive Groups for 45 years. He is the founder of the Interactive Group Institute, where he offers group leader trainings. For many years, he taught courses in IFS for both therapists and the general public.
Jay has a Ph.D. in psychology from Saybrook University and is a licensed psychologist in California (PSY6973). He has been in private practice since 1973.
